GameStop is now ending their replacement plan for new Xbox 360's due to the system's high failure rate. According to a GameStop employee newsletter and information provided to website GamersReports, current replacement plans will be honored until they expire, but no new ones will be offered.

It seems a case of after the horse has bolted. I am with Jesse2050 on this one though the 5 minutes of sales pitch removed would make it almost a must to buy it from them except of course they would still do it and only dicover the problem when they ring it in.

wow! I have covered the retail industry for some time now and companies like gamestop push these plans religiously, the margins are crazy. '
I am actually glad to see this, I hate having to hear these lame sales pitches at retailers. They should get rid of all extended warranty plans.[ Admin ]bids
