in the last part of your reply you highlighted my exact reasoning why i think that ps3 sales of assassins creed will do well alongside the 360. when only considering america yes the 360 atm is doing alot better than the ps3. but consider worldwide, especially europe the ps3 is on similar sales with the 360 if not higher and i know that assassins creed had an extensive ad campaign and a very good one at that, which will appeal to the majority of ps3 owners in europe. esp in UK, young 10-15 yo gamers that dont read many gaming sites, maybe gamefaqs for cheats, and have brought the ps3 on brand name loyalty alone, they dont really care that AC didnt receive fantastic reviews or didnt live up to the hype because it appears to be something different and are easily influenced by advertising. combined with the fact that AC is competing with alot less high quality games on the ps3 than the 360, although this is offset somewhat by huge differences in the software sales ratios i admit
when considering all ps3 to 360 game sales estimates remember that the xbox traditionally appeals to the more hardcore side of gaming, where most read more reviews and would care more about them before making an informed purchase. the playstation brand appeals to a more casual audience and to the impulse buyer that doesnt care about reviews and will buy a game simply on its cover or adverts.[ Oracle ] [ Level 22 ] [ Rank: 150 ]bids

While I disagree that the PS3 version of AC will exceed 2 million by the time this game stops selling any sort of measurable volume, its ok- We're both entitled to our opinions. I think ubi's numbers are a bit high, they are not far off the mark. I just think AC1 is going to see most of its sales on the 360 side. An inevitable and likely forthcoming sequel, will do better on PS3 imo.
I'm used to downbids on my speculations anyway, you should have seen how many people laughed last february when I said the PS3 would outsell the Xbox360 worldwide in Xmas 2007 :) I usually get the last laugh :)

well ubisoft is telling shareholders that it will sell 5million between the 360 and ps3 by march, continued sales could push this towards a lifetime sales mark of about 5.5-6million combined. depending on the breakdown between the two, ps3 could go well beyond 2 million. both platforms are undervalued atm imo with combined sales predicted of about 4.8million. with quite possibly a 25% rise to 6million combined this is a good long stock to be in. and i think this is really undervalued compared to the 360.[ Oracle ] [ Level 22 ] [ Rank: 150 ]bids
