In less than 3 months since launch, the game managed to reach an audience of more than 5 million people worldwide, the American publisher announced. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock features legendary Guns'n'Roses guitarist Slash on its cover, accompanied by fictional guitarists Judy Nails on the left and Lars Ümlaüt on the right. Unlike previous installments in the series, GH III's 60 songs are all master tracks and the game allows for online play too.

I am a little uneasy with your posting for numbers and saying, 'My source is telling me' without actually providing a source for the numbers. It is akin to me saying, I have contact who tell me that this game has shipped 2 million and sold about 1.4 million at retail.

GH3 360: 1.73 million
GH3 PS2: 2.51 million
GH3 Wii: 1.26 million
GH3 PS3: 0.59 million

Hmm, sorry seems your right, I made an error in my excel table extrapolating the numbers. 1.5-1.7 is the right number that the numbers implying. Sorry my bad.
