It's not even close to the same thing as a pricecut. The 40 GB is just changing to 80 GB. The current 80 GB has two more USB ports, it has a Memory Stick/SD/CompactFlash Slot, and software backwards compatibility. It's misleading to say that it's basically an 80 GB pricecut.
@JoshuaJSlone, In my opinion it is a type of price cut. I put it as so for the following reasons. 1) I was trying to get it up as fast as possible. 2) It gets the main point of this development out to other readers in the most direct way. 3) I did edit it a number of times, I changed it to " " around the pricecut and ' ', and calling it the debut of a core 80 gb. But in the end I thought it was best to highlight why this development will be so significant and that is because of the price. I do understand where you're coming from though. Do people think I should change it to 80 GB PS3 Core coming in Sept $399.99?
