"Wii Fit" moved into top spot, bumping "Mario Kart," also for the Wii, into second place, according to the NPD Group which tracks the industry.
Electronic Arts' "Madden NFL 09" entered the chart in third (Xbox 36) and fifth (PlayStation 3), with "Wii Play" sandwiched in fourth.
The top 20 featured seven games for the Wii and seven for the Nintendo DS. The Xbox 360 had three titles compared to two for the PlayStation 3 and one for the PlayStation 2.
