Sony urged to drop PS3 price before Christmas, by EDAAR analyst Jesse Divnich, who believes the PS3 is "too steep" in price for the mainstream market, and urged Sony to cut the price before the key retail period.

That is my feeling as well for 2008. Splashing out that much for something that must become substantially cheaper in the next 6-8 months isn't something that I'm willing to do - even as a developer. I suspect consumers will feel the same.
