Finally on Nov. 19, you can say goodbye to the old Xbox experience as you welcome the shiny New Xbox Experience, and all the Avatars, group chatting and other new features it will bring. That date is worldwide.

I am not sure when the 512mb card launched but it only costs £29.99 delivered in the UK so it is not going to break the bank.
What is a shame is that to take advantage of the Avatars you would need to buy this card and effectively discard the 256 unit supplied.
This does seem odd to me as the Avatar is aimed at the casual market which puts it at odds with the Arcade in this respect. Hopefully they will revise this product and include the 512 card as standard, maybe the new bundled models will have the greater capacity card?[ Oracle ] [ Level 30 ] [ Rank: 60 ]bids

256 MB space on Memory Card is bad news. IIRC, the first X360 memory card is only 64 MB. When did 512 MB Memory Card launched by Microsoft ?[ Oracle ] [ Level 30 ] [ Rank: 14935 ]bids

From what I have read the 256 card will handle the Avatar upgrade and may take as little as 150 of the card. So this is not nearly as bad as I had first understood it. That said I would still want the 512 card if I was lumbered with an earlier 64 model.
