Japan has declined as a market with total hardware console and hand held sales down significantly from last year.

The biggest cause is that for most of last year DS was still usually selling more than 100K a week, or even 150K a week. In the later months of last year (before the holiday bump) it started to come down to _merely_ great numbers and has stayed that way, so it really drags down the whole.
