  I find this very interesting in the light of the BT Vision and BSkyB's of this world being bandied around. Both BT Vision (Already using the MediaRoom Solution) and BSkyB are set top box providers. BT Vision has already got some kind of deal with Xbox which sounded at the time to be a licensed Xbox hardware solution. This will certainly expand all the console manufacturers and probably best suites the PS3 and Xbox 360 solutions but if they pull this off we could see this generation lasting for some time in the form of a box under the telly.

  Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, has revealed his belief that new technology will enable set-top boxes to become games platforms in the future, alongside new interface technology and new iterations of existing games consoles.
