CHIBA, Japan—Nintendo Co. slashed its profit forecasts after announcing its highly anticipated 3-D hand-held videogame machine will miss the holiday shopping season.
Nintendo Wednesday said the 3DS, which will play 3-D games without the need for special glasses, will go on sale Feb. 26 in Japan, and the following month in the U.S. and Europe.

I expected 2011 release ever since 3DS was announced, but with no firm release date announced.
We'll see how bad Nintendo sales in 2010. I have a suspicion it is not as bad as what most "industry analysis" predict.
