With 2.5 million Wiis sold in the U.S. so far Nintendo of America is very confident, and for good reason. At the current sales pace, they fully expect the Wii to take over the #1 position within the year.

Wii will dominate the casual market but what about the hardocore gamers? I feel the 360 and PS3 sales are a different ball game. Gaming has become segmented. We need charts for old gen systems (like the Wii) and new gen charts for the true new gen systems.
