Well, that's awkwardly timed. Just as Sony was wowing the world with its new, super-powered PSP dubbed NGP and its wow-that's-smart plan to bring "PlayStation content" to Android phones, Nintendo was reporting a 46 percent dip in its October to December Q3 profits, thanks to flagging Wii and DS sales. Acknowledging the tough market, the Big N cut its sales forecast for the Wii 1.5 million units, down to 16 million, and for the DS 1 million units, down to 22.5 million.

"I'm impressed that they had the confidence to charge $249; I think that they're going to regret it. It's going to sell out and they're leaving money on the table." If you explain the feature set to most consumers, they would say $300 or more. So $249 is a bargain, and I think this thing is going to be on eBay for $500 immediately."

Dead Space 2 receives an 8.5 from Gamespot

Dead Space 2's thrilling campaign and intense multiplayer make it an excellent game and a worthy follow-up to its superb predecessor. The Good: Campaign starts strong and ends strong. Dismembering necromorphs is as thrilling as ever. Some great new necromorph types. Wonderfully atmospheric visuals and sound design. Exhilarating multiplayer. The Bad: No significant gameplay advances over the first game. Single-player falls into predictable rhythm for a while. Some dull objectives.
