Virtua Fighter 5 is the fifth installment of the 3D arcade fighting series by Sega. For those new to the series, Virtua Fighter is a fighting game that pits the player against a slew of characters in a fighting tournament for domination that features more realistic fighting (no fireballs and the like). The game features 17 fighters, of which there are two new characters: Eileen, a Monkey Kung Fu fighter, and El Blaze, a lucha libre wrestler.
The game features an arcade mode (like playing at the arcades), a versus mode (play against a friend), a quest mode (fighting AI controlled players at different difficulties to earn money to buy unlockable items), dojo mode (practice mode that teaches you how to do the moves), and VF.TV where you watch recorded replays from your matches.
Moves in Virtua Fighter 5 are made in a combination of punk, kick, and guard buttons. The game’s fighting system is largely similar to Virtua Fighter 4 but is designed to be faster. Virtua Fighter 5 also allows the player to customize and tweak their characters. The game features 720p graphics and no online play.

7Yeah this game rated well but fell short in sales around the world , In japan it was #1 for the first week is was out then completely fell outta the charts , Total sales of this game so far are 79,319 through 10 weeks in Japan and in USA it hasnt been in a weekly Top 50 since March 11th when it reached 36th with less than 10k in sales , the total at that time was 75,396 and seeing there has been 5 weeks since then that it hasnt been in the top 50 that doesnt bode well for this title reaching half a million , there is the slight possabilty that when the price lowers it will sell enough to meet the stock price , I think ppl are unwilling to pay 60 bucks for most games that dont have a online feature[ Contributor ] [ Level 8 ] [ Rank: 2739 ]bids
10After UK PS3 release VF5 was ranked #14. Way behind Motorstorm, Resistance, Virtua Tennis, and almost all PS3 games with the exception of Genji.

Selling almost 5,000 last week (rank 68). So there is still some life in it.
Just the total sales for Japan and America is 213,908. It's still selling quite strong in the US.
If we assume a drop of 400 units per week (it dropped at an average of 319 over the last 3 weeks), it will take 10 weeks for it to drop below 1,000. By then, it would add another 28,000 to the total, bring it to almost 161K in US.
It's constant at 15th place on the top 29 UK PS3 chart.

The current known figure now stands at 220,225. Add a conservative 5% for Canada:
220,225 + (133,859 * 5%) = 226,917
287,000 (current prediction) - 226,917 (estimated current sales) = 60,083
NA is probably going to add another 29,400 to the total, so Europe will have to pick up 31K copies. I think UK, Germany and France would have picked up more units than Spain.
I think this game will end up at 300-350K (30-35 DKP) during its lifetime.
