Army of Two is a third-person shooter focused on cooperative play and coordinated strategy and tactics. You and a friend, or if you can't find one, a 'Partner Artificial Intelligence,' take the role of two contracted, ex-Rangers named Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem. You are part of a private military company contracted for security.
The game is designed for co-op play. If you are down, your partner must perform CPR by moving the analog stick. You and your partner can hand each other ammo in a fire fight. You can even stand back-to-back to take on opponents from all sides. The game also includes deep customization of your guns as nearly each part, from the stock to the barrel, are swappable.

"Electronic Arts Inc (ERTS.O: Quote, Profile, Research), the world's biggest video game publisher, said on Monday it will delay "Army of Two" to early next year, saying it needed more time to polish the military combat game."

"It's been led on Xbox 360 and we put it on the PS3. It's because we have more experience in that medium. The PS3 is fairly new with a lot of development stuff. But as far as the gameplay goes on both consoles it's the same. There are no differences."

That # (800K - 900K) is estimated by Gamasutra, not actual # from NPD. They arrived at that # because #3, Madden NFL 09, is at 1.0 Million. While I agree that their estimate is Logical, it is also possible that the actual # is lower, like 600 - 700K.
Unless there is a game that didn't show up on Top 5, but we KNOW for sure that their # is around 700K - 750K, THEN we have high confidence that #5 is really at least around 800K.[ Oracle ] [ Level 30 ] [ Rank: 14935 ]bids
1Deftangel's 5 Top Games for 2008 Gamasutra article indicates that the 360 version of Army of Two sold around 800,000 to 900,000 in the US alone. VGC has the game at 1.33 million already. Given that it has sold over a million & is by EA, it will very most likely have a Platinum Hits version release.
