Leon Kennedy must save the President's daughter from a mysterious and dangerous cult in the Wii edition of the 2005 game. All the extras from the PlayStation 2 version are included and the Gamecube visuals have been improved with true widescreen. The edition features precision aiming using the Wii remote. Knife controls have been improved with an auto-lock to slice nearby Ganados. Interactive cut-scenes now have motion gestures as well.

Two editors gave the game a perfect score of 10, and the other two gave 9s. They said the new Wiimote controls are easy-to-learn, but made the game fresh and increased the tension.

1UP Preview "There's no visual difference between the Wii and GameCube versions of RE4. However, the Wii version does support full widescreen and, naturally, 480p resolution. To some folks, that's a big deal (and we don't mind it, either). The game will also include the extra content from the PS2 version, which includes the "Assignment Ada" side story."

Oh I understand they were different reports. The question wasn't necessarily for you directly...I'm just wondering how two reports supposedly using data from Capcom can differentiate so much, especially with a later one claiming less old than an earlier one. Hmm, the report you posted on March 21 had the game selling 1.6 million, but the report from May 23 supposedly from Capcom is only 1.25 million... which is it?[ Guru ] [ Level 21 ] [ Rank: 173 ]

You have it correct. The first one report does not cite its source for its number. It may have been VGChartz, it may have been estimates from retail shipments, or some other source.
@Alpha,
I see the second (later) report as being more pertinent to our prediction for lifetimes sales due to the fact that the number presented there is directly from Capcom. I would assume 1.5 million units as being the high point for this title.
