Mario and friends bring their party game action to the Nintendo DS in November 2007.

This game appears to be very similar to their console games, featuring characters moving around a Mario-themed board and players having to compete in various minigame challenges.

Mario Party DS reached 1 Million in < 2 Months (released on Nov 8, 2007) Babelfish translation, and edited (and added) for easier reading : Mario Party DS sales exploded, with sales of 300K last week (period Dec 17 - 23), bringing its LTD to 1 Million in less than 2 months. Edit : Removed the Japanese text as per request.

As you'd expect, the minigames themselves will largely depend on the DS' unique input features. Based on the minigame-selection screen, it looks like there will be several dozen minigames in the final package, once you've unlocked everything.

Nintendo managed to move over 90,000 units on the first day, according to Enterbrain. We are looking at sales of 200,000 to 400,000 for the first week.
