"Street Fighter IV is a fighting game and the next installment in Capcom's long-running Street Fighter franchise. It was announced on October 17, 2007. A pre-rendered teaser trailer done in a 3D calligraphic style showed Ryu and Ken sparring in a dark meadow, but no gameplay was shown due the project's infancy at the time. Although Capcom USA owns the rights to Street Fighter, development has been contracted to an internal studio at Capcom of Japan."

Street Fighter IV continues to excel in the “taking the piss” stakes today, with news that Sagat and Balrog are in the arcade version, as seen in this movie. From this: “Taken from the Taito Center in Akihabara, the first clip shows Sagat fighting Zangief on a stage that looks reminiscent of Balrog’s Las Vegas backdrop from previous Street Fighters.

IGN SF4 review 9.3/10

IGN - February 12, 2009

Capcom has managed to strip away the baggage that has accumulated around the series over the years and returned to the franchise's roots. The result is a game that plays very much like a purified, simple fighter -- but with several modern enhancements to enrich the combat. If you've been playing Street Fighter for years, this game will feel like an old friend. If you're completely new to the scene, Street Fighter IV is a great place to start".

SFIV screens - Ryu Super Cancel, anyone?

More Street Fighter IV screens for you today. And guess who's in them. Yup, the same Ryu and Ken fight, in the SAME frickin' level, but it's okay because these eight screens show something cool.
