Hellgate: London is a first-person shooter and RPG hybrid by the creators of Blizzard's Diablo series. Former Blizzard members have formed Flagship Studios and Hellgate: London will be their first title. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where London has been invaded by demons and the year is 2038.

Although the game is played like a first-person shooter, the character's success depends heavily on his stats rather than the player's skill at mouse pointing and clicking. The game design uses Diablo's theme of random generation to allow for great replayability. Hellgate: London will feature cooperative online gameplay in a single unified world (rather than individual servers or realms) but parties will play in instances.
