It hasn't harmed the sales of DS games (no Player's Choice there either).
The label is entirely meaningless. A company can lower the price on its own. Several Nintendo games on the DS have their prices lowered without having a new label/designation put on it, and it'll happen on the Wii as well. They're just doing away with new bright packaging meant to attract budget-conscious consumers. Their prices will still drop so it's really just semantics.
