Sim City was back on the SNES...I think that's too far back to get good sales numbers ;)
I belive The Sims sold fairly well (2 million+) on the PS2 as well. If anyone can find good numbers for any of those titles besides Vgchartz, please do so.
Also, Will Wright's other games (SimCity, Sims, etc) are all built around a mouse interface, which makes it hard to translate it to a console gamepad. The Wiimote would likely make things much easier to port over to the Wii as opposed to older control types.
Also, I don't believe that anything has been said as to what features the Wii version would not have (if anything is to be taken out). Earlier talk has referred to mobile and DS versions, so I wouldn't assume that it will apply to this newly announced version. I haven't seen anything to suggest that Spore is too advanced to run on the Wii.
