Yeah, don't get me wrong - it's going to sell. A lot. I just wonder if the 11 million it's sitting at right now is really even reasonable.
I mean, using some big aproximations and VGCharts (which some people don't really like) it has the DS at 35.6 million units and Mario Kart DS approaching 10 million (if it continues selling).
I've seen the Nintendo 64 numbers at 32.9 million units and as you said, Mario Kart 64 sold 10 million.
SNES sales I've seen at 49 million with Super Mario Kart at nearly 9 million sales.
I think we could make draw a conclusion that historically, Mario Kart sells at ~30% of Hardware Sales - a 1/3 ratio... pretty impressive. But still, the Wii's at what? 11 Million? 12 Million year end?
If Wii is projected to sell far and above 40 million, then I'd say this stock is on track. I'm thinking that on a SimExchange scale, it'll be quite some time before we see the full 11+ million sales for Mario Kart... when does the stock get de-listed? Does it ever? Just seems like there's little money to be made on this one.
Again, maybe that's just the nature of the game :)
