@oznerol, I don't think the article is assuming that the ratio of PS3 to 360 should stay the same, they based their deductions on actual sales over a yearly period. Many 360 owners own more games than PS3 owners, they may not be interested in as many new games because they already have a lot more.
I don't know why we shouldn't count UK sales as part of worldwide comparison of console sales. Just because the console gets more sales in different territories doesn't mean those should not be considered for being behind or pulling ahead.
Just because a sequel sells less doesn't mean it should be ignored for comparisons.
Just because a game is more attractive on one console or another for control or content reasons doesn't mean it should be not considered.
