I cannot understand at all how you can argue the data points they show.
The data shows that the difference between them used to be 360 having on average 95% times more sales, and this is now down to 20% on average.
This has happened over time, time may or may not be the direct cause of it, but something is causing it to happen over time.
They did show individual game sales trends. The article is not about overall software sales it's about major multiplatform sales on each console.
