Basically the PS3 version is behind at the moment as they still need to optimise for RSX. They expect to hit 60fps across all three platforms.
It's interesting to see Carmack confirm what I've been saying about console hardware all along. Both consoles have different strengths and weaknesses leading performance to be roughly equivalent.
The dream console for most developers would certainly be a combination of CELL and the Xbox 360's GPU. (Not to mention more *usable* memory than is found in the PS3).
