The thing that I get tired of seeing are the people who say the Wii is just a fad and any day now the sales are going to drop. It doesn't really seem to be a fad to me, its just that they are not using the same marketing model that Sony used with the playstations (except making a system that appeals to everyone) to make them successful.
Current demand seems to indicate that the Wii will continue to sell out at least until the end of March, and possibly longer so I definitely agree that at least for the rest of the year the Wii will continue to be in short supply all over the world.
Nintendo is currently projecting 16 million shipped consoles by the end of December, since I don't have any info on the exact process they are going through around the world to determine how they came to that figure I think I'll stick with that, which is still very impressive for a console.
