It would be interesting to see the numbers of Core systems shipped as opposed to Premium. At the Wal Mart I worked at we had about equal when the system launched, but then seemed to get mainly Premium systems with the occasional Core. I think that MS and Sony both put out a lower-end system SKU just to be able to make claims about prices, without ever intending on fully supporting both (though MS did seem to put more effort into it). I've never been a fan of multiple console SKUs...it just confuses consumers and never seems to be of any real benefit.
