So the Sony garage sale has begun and it looks likely to be a global price cut, it is interesting the it is Europe that get the cut first.
So what should Microsoft do now?
The new falcon equipped 360's appear to be arriving in the stores. Halo 3's arrival has helped ship a lot of the old more expensive inventory so it may be possible for MS to match this cut quickly.
Alternatively they could sit back let Halo 3 do its thing for another month and wait and see how the Sony price cut impacts sales.
I personally think that this may fit well with the MS road map and Sony may even of played into their hands. I guess only time will tell but again an interesting Christmas period looms.
"Xbox 360 is adding a splash of color to the holiday season with the release of new Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers in pink and blue on Oct. 2, each offered for an estimated retail price of $49.99 (US). The whole family can enjoy Xbox 360 with these bright additions to the "chill" and black Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers."
For clarification Kotaku had already posted (and it was linked as an article on SE) about the Marvel/Forza Bundle over a month ago...that news is already traded into the price.
In fact it is a pretty poor reporting job since the 'rumoured' bundle is already available for pre-order :)

Yeah i agree, with the $279 xbox arcade deal and Mass Effect its only going to get better for MS.
