At least on 360/PS3. The games are just way to expensive to bring them out on one (or some game maybe only 360) alone. Companies need to earn money, and both of the HD consoles have weakness in their install base. And the interesting thing is, that where one is weak, the other is strong ;)
@apujanata, Fan petitions have been successful in the past on at least 2 occasions, but I cannot remember what they were for. I think any petition now that has to do with exclusivity will never be successful however. The days of exclusivity are done for 3rd party. Unless it is paid for.
"Ok, so we now know that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming to XBOX 360 as well as the PlayStation 3. This is pathetic, we know you want to make more money, SQUARE ENIX, but come on, this is an insult to both nintendo and SONY."
"So if you're a FINAL FANTASY fan, and wish for FINAL FANTASY to remain with nintendo and PlayStation - sign this petition, and if SQUARE ENIX have any decency left in them, they'll take notice of their TRUE fans! "
As TRUE fans of Square Enix, I refuse to sign this kind of petition. :)
Was there ever a success story of game company acting on fans petition ?
@JoshuaJSlone, This is one of those "stubborn stock" (like God of War 3, Gear of War 2, Halo Wars). No matter how much money you pour into shorting them, they always bounce back to their previous price sooner or later.
I would suggest you spent your money somewhere else, where the resistance is not as big. Invest if you have big tolerance for losing money in the short term.
8.6 million? Wouldn't that be more than any FF since VII? On PS3? In a time when there's much more intra-FF competition, across all systems? Seems a bit high.
As I mentioned in my previous post, the reasonable price of this stock is only 5 - 6 million. And yet, as of now, the price of this stock is 908.42 (9 Million). Is there something wrong with my calculation, to create this much disrepancy ? (-30% discrepancy)
