Yes, it sales well but your numbers are way out. I can't believe Nintendo Shipped (and shops ordered) 3 Million in Japan. The Wii sold about 3.9 M units until know. I think 300-500k is way more realistic (but still high). Don't forget that it is a game with a peripheral. You don't produce 3 Million of it, especially if you don't bank on past sales numbers.
I think this is going to get huge first day /first week sales(2-3million).It allready sold out in numerous places and with the huge lines ,Im definatly considering buying in this!
I can't believe I ever bothered to argue with you before! Certainly a chance of a few hospitals buying it translates into millions of sales. I'm now totally convinced that there is evidence that WiiFit will sell over 8 million copies.
Just so we're clear, I think this highlights what may be practical use for WiiFit, but doesn't highlight anything in terms of what actual sales or public reception will be. Its nothing more than interesting...like using Segways at two or more hospitals highlighting Segway sales.
- Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Alberta is using Wii to help its patients with movement and balance issues - Studeo 55, a fitness facility in Vancouver, has incorporated a Wii workout station into circuit training
Those are only two examples (from Nintendo of Canada) that shows how the Wii is already used in rehabilitation and fitness. I think we can all see how Wii Fit is a natural progression/extension to this. The Wii Fitness mode in Wii Sports got a lot of attention and I think people will be drawn to a more full-featured version.
@zeromous,I totaly agree.I thought id get upbids for getting involved in disscusion.I posted aroud 70-80 articles and for what? 50upbis and 20downbids.well then i started to post aricles and after 12days i have 500upbids and only 40downbids.But istill regulary get involved in conversations like this one.
Anyway with this game its either sell good or really good. The i see it someones got to buy it.
I think this game might be huge as whats the point in paying a lot of money to the gym when you probably wont go in the first place!Wouldnt you rather just stay at home switch on the wii and play wii fit?
I'm please a few people get the difference at least! Will people pay 70$ for one additional sensor and a "game"? I don't think so, but I've been wrong before.
