There is rumor going around that NPD may not release the numbers of Wii Fit as a software unit (i.e. will not be reported in top 10 if it is in top 10 software for a month) because it may end up being counted by NPD as a peripheral and therefore be eligible for the top 10 software chart. This is just a rumor that is going around currently and does not affect the stock very significantly at all, but it does highlight that numbers in the U.S. for this title may not be as available for revising estimates as if Wii Fit was counted as software. I personally doubt that they will not count Wii Fit as a software title because NPD already has counted Wii Play as a piece of software and the main value in that case is the Wii-mote and not the game.
i saw an article with gamestop having put up preorders for wii fit (this was from last july i believe) and the price they had was 69$. the gamestop listing has since been taken down. but if it were sold at that price, you can bet this will generate uber sales.
i was looking at current vgc numbers for wii and if u take the numbers of wii fit sold so far in japan (that 1 mil figure released recently), it's sold itself to a little under a quarter of the wii's there. if you make the assumption that a quarter of the wii owners will buy wii fit in the lifetime of the console, that's like 25 million!
No 79$-99$ is the likely range. And I agree. It will the "We hate the NON gaming, Blue Oceans games" crowed very very angry, because it will sell :o). I expect outstanding sales in US, only good in EU.

Someone obviously disagrees with me then. Made a bit of a dent in my purchase price by picking up some shares on the "cheap"*
*IMO anyway ;)
