TOKYO, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Sony Corp (6758.T: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday it is raising its PlayStation Portable sales target for the year to next March to 10 million units the previous estimate of 9 million.
It also raised it sales target for the PlayStation2 game console for the current business year to 12 million units from 10 million.
Sony kept unchanged its PlayStation3 sales target of 11 million units for the current year.
PSP sold 284,500 units in September, we are predicting it sell just 83,100 more units in November? This should be at minimum 41.2DKP (it sold 412,000 units last November).
PSP had a great week in Japan selling 104,000 units up 551% (according to VGchartz)from the previous week, its almost certonly all down to Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII but good show for the wee bliter
Here are NPD numbers for a couple months. The average PSP sales per month over the last 8 months is 203,250. Though PSP sales seem to move up and down in three month cycles (down Feb-Apr, up May-July, I predict down Aug-Oct (August sales seem to go with this trend)).
