Where did you get your several million players figure ?
What I found is this : So far, two Guild Wars games have been released for the PC. The original Guild Wars was released in late April of 2005, and Guild Wars Factions, a stand-alone follow-up, was released almost a year later. Both games have sat atop the best-selling PC game charts, with Factions in the number one slot for the month of May 2006.
2 Million for 2 games by June 2006 means 1 million each. That way, 750K for Guild Wars 2 is not too low, IMO.
Anyone have newer figure than June 2006 article I found ?
Given that Guild Wars has several million players, even if we assume that a third of them are active players who will buy the new game 75DKP does seem very low.
I would like to note that Guild Wars 2 is not going to be published by ATi (which the submitter has stated) but instead, but NCSoft. I also believe that 75 may be a little low for an opening for this stock, but it's entirely too early to tell, as the game won't even go into Public beta until Q3 or Q4 of 2008.

Between the three Guild Wars games they have sold 5 million, as reported by this article.
That is of course copies, not active users, so the user base could be much smaller.
