Based on how most of the hardcore gamers are not impressed by the Kinect demostrations at E3 it bodes well for the casual market.
I certainly saw huge amounts of potential in the product now it is going to come down to how much it actually will cost, as that is certainly what most casuals look at (Wii Fit fanatics aside).
Microsoft debuted the Xbox 360 Slim, an updated and redesigned version of its console, with a $300 price tag. 250 GB hard drive, built-in wifi (802.11N). Begins shipping in North America today, and should arrive at stores this week.
Microsoft has released their fiscal data for the year and in this report they revealed that the Xbox 360 has sold over 40 million units worldwide since the consoles launch in 2005.
2005-06 - 5.0 Million Units
2006-07 - 11.6 Million Units
2007-08 - 20.3
2008-09 - 31.4
2009-10 - 40.2
Expect 360 sales to be artificially higher this month due to 1,000,000+ being banned, unloading their modded 360's on craigslist (among others) and looking for a new 360. It makes a lot more sense now that MS decided to do the bans right at this time.
Get real apujanata :) I've been doing fine for years *starting* to cash out at 10%. In fact I've grown at a higher rate than the median doing so. I continue to do so after selling all of my assets several times to huge losses just messing. I recovered each time.
I've never seen this TSE market behavior until this week. Something is up. Same thing is with the NSMB Wii stock, and I lost a ton over trading MW2 today trying to change my position.
Anyway, was trying to bring it board's attention but I guess I'm just looney then! :)
MCV's sources say the innovative controller-free 360 camera will be released worldwide in November 2010. In Microsoft tour of UK publishers and studios – the format-holder has been demoing the tech and detailing its 2010 plans in order to spur more development support.
Microsoft is planning to manufacture 5m units for day one release. It should cost under £50 when sold solo.
@zeromous, Not really. In certain cases, in which there are lots of pull between the short market and the long market, a big "gap", between automated market maker buy price and selling price, could happen.
This is a normal things, since it also happen in real world. This is why doing investment with 10% profit margin is inadvisable. You should strive for 30% profit margin or more.
