Sony Computer Entertainment America today announced, "Our top retailers have reported a 300% lift in PS3 hardware sales and an increase of 140% in total hardware revenue across the PlayStation portfolio when comparing the first week of September to the week before the $299 price adjustment."
@Joe80,As ACII is a November release, UC2 an October release and GT5 a supposed Dec release I would imagine these are individual full boxed offers not a instore pick'em deal.
The PS3 definately suffered leading into the release of the slim and price reduction which in turn has lead to some crazy headlines such as "1000%" but I do not want to take away from the fact that the PS3 has done some very very good sales since its effective relaunch.
Speaking with Eurogamer, "a trusted retail source" has revealed that next month, a 250GB model of the PS3 Slim will be released, which in the UK will be bundled with one of three games over the holiday season: Assassin's Creed II, Gran Turismo 5 or Uncharted 2.
MCVUK had a new article with extrapolated sales figure for PS3 slim, 40K sold.
If you use the relative sales and % increase for X360, you can also reverse calculate approximate numbers sold for that console for past 3 weeks in UK.
