I haven't seen amazing numbers coming from most RPGs with the exception of Mass Effect which had a ton of hype. I am skeptical it will move 3 million units though I would say it has a shot at doing 1 million, it will depend on how it looks when we get more details.
Neither I nor anybody else really knows much about this game, but I'm optimistic from what I've seen. If there is a multiplayer component (anyone know?) I think it could easily reach the 3 million mark if it lives up to expectations. It's not like there is a huge amount of hype (yet) so as to disappoint people.
So far this game looks amazing! This is one of those games where you're not so interested and it doesn't have much attention, but after a few showings it just impresses the crap out of everyone. I'm impressed with how Remedy has taken this game to the multithreading level. Now next-gen hardware will truely be utilized and those dual-cores and soon-to-come quad-cores will actually be used.
Definitely a blockbuster after from the developers of Max Payne!
Playability alone warrants a certain jump in price. Thirty is a bit much perhaps, but certainly not illogical. A game like this with nothing but screenshots and some small videos is helped immensely by palpable, physical happennings. That is, you know it isn't vaporware, i.e. project Hammer, if the developers tell you it will be playable in two weeks.
Now, the next big jump will come when we see what it's evolved into at E3 and depends largely on the specifics of that play experience.
I feel good about this in general, and I think it should be a strong buy, or at least as strong as an unreleased, rumor mill game can be. Can't wait till we get some real solid info.

Was this at GDC? I don't remember seeing any of it last week.
