Mario Kart Wii is racing to the shelves in a month's time. More gameplay details are being revealed from the removal of the snaking technique to today's report of a change for the classic Balloon Battle Mode.
Nintendo UK just announced what could easily be the most exciting Mario Kart tournament to date, as participants won't just enjoy the privilege to play Mario Kart Wii before everyone else, but also get the chance to win a Mario Kart VW Convertible.
A really solid Mario Kart with a terrific online setup. There's plenty here to make up for the disappointment of local multiplayer, but it does stop short of magnificence.
A review 3 weeks before the game is released? I call shenanigans.
It's possible that they actually have a final review copy to use (they mention some items that haven't been announced) but this could have been based almost solely on hands-on previews.
It's incredibly rare to see a Nintendo-developed game reviewed so early, so either they're not using a final copy of the game or they broke the review embargo.
