eyewitness accounts of "thin" figures with feet smaller than a human male's appear to be contradictory. As a result, theories about "Big Sisters" and "Little Daddies" began to bubble up--rumors that 2K Games has steadfastly declined to comment on. "Don't believe everything you read," one rep told GameSpot.
While wary of "cashing in" on the franchise, Global President of 2K Christoph Hartmann suggests that Bioshock could follow the Star Wars saga, generating sequels as long as the story holds out.
Now of course he isn't guaranteeing five more Bioshock games, but Hartmann says that if the innovation is there and the storyline is strong, they would keep telling the Bioshock story until it's done.
I'm surprised they didn't announce BioShock 4, 5 and 6 while they at it.
Granted, BioShock was great. BioShock 2, although met with a bit of skepticism, still have interesting idea of showing the days that led to the social collapse and ultimate downfall of Rapture. With that and announcement of BioShock 3, I have to wonder if BioShock 2 will have an actual ending instead of... 'to be continued' in BioShock 3!
"Speaking to investors in a quarterly financial conference call today, Take-Two Interactive chairman Strauss Zelnick confirmed that plans exist for a third BioShock game, which will likely coincide with the release of the Gore Verbinski-directed film version of the game franchise."
@deftangel, It is not news. The link is broken. And people bid on it probably because of not even taking the time to actually looking at an article before upbidding the article.
"With BioShock 2 in the hands of 2K Marin, and no longer at 2K Boston and 2K Australia, many of us were left wondering if designer and BioShock face Ken Levine would be working on the title. It would appear that he will be, in some capacity, at least, according to Take-Two CEO Ben Feder. He said today that Levine is 'a terrific asset to the company and a brilliant game developer' and confirmed, in a roundabout way, that he'd be involved."
