If you're a fan of Halo 3, yet haven't quite dipped your toes in the DLC pool yet, then this bit of news concerning the upcoming Halo 3: ODST may excite you. The game will arrive at retail this fall with all of Halo 3's 24 multiplayer maps. This includes The Heroic Map Pack, The Legendary Map Pack, Cold Storage, The Mythic Map Pack (set for release this spring on XBLM and bundled with Halo Wars CE), and three new maps exclusive to the Halo 3: ODST package.
If you recall, this is our recently announced stand-alone extension to Halo 3 that features an all new campaign played from the perspective of an ODST in the heart of a Covenant occupied New Mombasa. In addition to sleuthing around the city and piecing together the details surrounding your squad's whereabouts, the game will also include some new Halo 3 multiplayer content as well as one or two unrevealed surprises when it's released next Fall.

The Decemeber Issue from Game Informer has been leaked and we got the scans showing off some new info on Halo 3 Recon and the upcoming Halo 3 Mythic Map pack.
The first details on Bungie's ambitious Halo 3 expansion Recon have finally emerged, detailing new equipment, more human characters and surprisingly, an open-world city.
Revealed in the latest issue of US magazine Game Informer, players take control of The Rookie, a faceless, voiceless Orbital Drock Shock Trooper part of a five-man team rocketed into Ground Zero of Earth city New Mombasa, during the events of Halo 2.
Someone's already got their hands on the Halo 3: Recon-themed December issue of Game Informer. Spilled the beans. Those beans tell us that, as you could probably have guessed when you first heard it spoken of as an "expansion", Halo 3: Recon is only 3-5 hours long. Which is pretty damn short. Luckily, then, it'll have a pretty damn short price tag, Bungie's Joe Staten saying "we do not view this as a $60 title". Hopefully he means $30, and not $59.99.
The December issue of Game Informer Magazine has 10 pages packed full of info and screenshots straight from Bungie. We also have another 10 pages of our annual Holiday Buyer’s Guide featuring the coolest gear for all types of gamers. All of this plus much more so don’t miss this issue! Subscribers will also get some added content on Nov 17 when Unlimited hits right here on GI Online
Recently, Bungie Studios community director Brian Jarrard - better known to Halo fans as "Sketch" - took some time to clear up a few lingering questions about Halo 3: Recon and Halo 3's upcoming Mythic Map Pack as well as some general Bungie topics.
