Eidos Interactive Ltd, creator of some of the world's leading videogame properties, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, today announced that Batman: Arkham Asylum, firmly established as the 'must-have' game of Summer 2009, has shipped in excess of 2.5 million units to retail since launch.
While the move is definitely Marvel-inspired, we have to imagine part of the impetus comes from the success of Batman: Arkham Asylum, which, according to the article, moved almost 2 million units in its first month.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is being widely heralded as just about the best Batman game ever, and while the critics lavish praise on Rocksteady's creation, Nvidia appear to be jumping on the bandwagon with a new offer.
If you purchase one of Nvidia's GTX260, GTX275, GTX285 or GTX295 graphics cards for your PC, you'll be given the chance to download a digital copy of Arkham Asylum for free.
"Rarely does a game do a character justice in such a satisfying way. Fans of the caped crusader really shouldn't hesitate - this isn't just the best grown-up Batman game, it's the best superhero game, bar none."
