The Dallas Business Journal is claiming to have confirmation from 3D Realms that the developer is aiming for a late 2008 release for Duke Nukem Forever. Miller also suggested that the long-awaited sequel will release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, although the developer's refusing to commit to platforms just yet.
"The gaming world has been buzzing lately with the recent teaser trailer release for Duke Nukem: Forever. In a mere 71 seconds 3D Realms, the creators of video games like Prey, the Max Payne series, and the world famous Duke Nukem 3D, has managed to spark renewed interest into this beloved franchise. Like most of you, Down in Front decided that we needed to find out just a little bit more about this highly anticipated Duke Nukem 3D sequel."
You thought it would never happen. We thought it would never happen, but apparently 3D Realms is just about ready to pull back the curtain on the way-too-long-in-development Duke Nukem Forever. A teaser trailer prepared for the studio's holiday party will appear online tomorrow at roughly 10:00 A.M. PST.
Yes, folks, it's still alive and kicking - everyone's favorite vaporware is "in full production" according to George Broussard, co-founder of 3D Realms. In an interview with 1up, towards the end, Broussard chats about the status of Duke Nukem Forever, the unfortunately-apt title to the game over a decade in development. Hail to the King, baby!

Duke Nukem Forever is the long awaited sequel to Duke Nukem 3D, a first person shooter released way back in 1996. Duke Nukem Forever will be the fourth title in the series and will feature the latest and greatest in next generation technology. It will be mainly be a first person shooter and is currently being developed using a advanced version of the Unreal engine.
The main appeal of Duke Nukem was its humor (which is notably absent in games of the genre even 10 years after Duke Nukem 3D was released) as well as its brilliant and innovative arsenal of weaponry. The level design was topnotch and one of the first shooters to feature jetpacks as a mode of transport.
The update with next gen tech will also include vehicular combat similar to Halo and Half-Life 2.
