It should be noted that Zipper Interactive's online shooter isn't explicitly mentioned in the e-mail. However, language describing the particulars of the game strongly resembles that which was used to promote MAG during Sony's E3 press event. Specifically, the e-mail mentions players' ability to either fight as part of a squad or assume the role of a general calling in air strikes or deploying reinforcements, and otherwise directing action on the battlefield.

I just signed onto the PlayStation Network planning to hop onto KZ2, when I noticed something very interesting while viewing my friends list. One of the users on my friends list was playing the MAG Beta. Because he/she works for Sony, this version of the Beta could be available only to a select few industry employees, but this could also mean that the MAG Beta is right around the corner.
