Electronic Arts: Back In The Game

Eurogamer - March 6, 2008

Submitted by llonesmiz (508) at 9:49AM PST on March 6, 2008

Last week Electronic Arts made public an audacious bid to acquire Take-Two Interactive, which had been rejected. The move came several months after the announcement that Bioware and Pandemic would be acquired by EA. The publisher's CEO, John Riccitiello, is certainly ringing in the changes. Here, former GamesIndustry.biz editor Rob Fahey considers what we're seeing and what it means for the company that many gamers love to hate.

Kotaku - February 12, 2008

Submitted by deftangel (291) at 12:20AM PST on February 12, 2008

No one has really stepped into the "public face" void filled by Moore's sudden departure over at Microsoft, but fortunately, Moore himself is still going to be very much a public face in gaming. Today the EA Sports president launched his very own blog over on EA Sports. Moore says he hopes to update it weekly with thoughts on sports, sports gaming and the gaming industry. http://www.easports.com/article.jsp?id=itg02%2F11

Madden Lead Producer Leaves EA Tiburon

1up - February 6, 2008

Submitted by llonesmiz (508) at 12:18AM PST on February 7, 2008

Since making the transition to this round of consoles, EA Sports' Madden NFL football franchise hasn't always looked like a playoff contender. But last year's edition on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 definitely reminded us of the good ol' days, earning high review scores from this here website. So yeah, our expectations are high for the upcoming football season; and we hope a recent departure within EA won't affect how Madden NFL 09 turns out.
