LittleBigPlanet is currently in development for PSP at Sony Studio Liverpool, a source has told CVG today. No further details were offered as to how the game will work on the PSP.

It's going to be fascinating to watch LittleBigPlanet go head to head with that other poster-boy for the community-creation age, Spore, when they both release this September. Spore might be more successful by virtue of its platform and pedigree, but at the moment, the PS3 game looks the more coherent, consistent, easy to grasp, rewarding and just plain lovable. It may not be the biggest PS3 release this year, but one thing's for sure, it's absolutely the most important.

Gamespot gives their imprssions of a demo version of LBP. This is the same demo level that was seen in the GDC presentation a while back. 'We're quite taken with the look and promise of LittleBigPlanet. The title promises to be an enjoyable experience that will be shaped by your imagination. Little Big Planet examines the very nature of games -- the dialogue between creators and players and the relationships possible between them. Yes, it's the most charming game that I've ever played, and it's one of the most enjoyable. But the real beauty of LBP is even less tangible: creative empowerment at its finest and an unparalleled motivator to want to create.

LittleBigPlanet is a great platform game. It's not a perfect one. It doesn't need to be, though, because its creative tools turn it into something else entirely, a unique, hilarious, endless entertainment. Even - and this is an absolutely crucial point - if you never use them.

Unfortunately, there was no detail yet of the review. I'll update this article once I got the details of the review. For those who think the PSM magazine are biased, please note that they gave Resistance Fall Of Man 7/10 and Motorstorm was a 8/10.

PS3Hype writes: 'LittleBigPlanet (or Sackboy) has become the image of the PlayStation 3. But because of the wrong scheduled release, the game has not sold as expected. Sony Computer Entertainment boss Kaz Hirai had some fresh PlayStation data for the CES crowd today. Probably most important to Sony's PlayStation 3 fortunes are LittleBigPlanet sales, which Kaz says now total 1.3 million worldwide.

Asked about Sony's plans for the Media Molecule game, marketing man Nick Robinson - a senior product manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe - confirmed the title will be released in September on Blu-ray disc only.
