LBP:To be able to import images by Christmas

PS3attitude - November 1, 2008

Submitted by OuterHaven (570) at 10:44AM PST on November 1, 2008

The news? Alex Evans confirmed that this was only pulled from the release of the game because of time constraints, and that the image import tool would be released by Christmas. For those (many) people that were upset to hear that the PlayStation Eye was going to be the only image import option this will indeed be (completely non-religious) music to their ears.

"A very loose story, but incredibly funny at certain points." - You can make private levels and give keys to friends. - Sackboy plushies confirmed! Said SCEA PR Brandon, "It's on the way. Details will be emerging shortly." - PlayStation Eye support confirmed. "For example," said Heley, "you can wear a cardboard box and put a sticker of yourself there."

Leo Cubbin demos some new features in LittleBigPlanet. This video clip gives a great insight into what this really weird game is. I had a hard time grasping this before this video.

Patcher: LittleBigPlanet is a system seller

GI - September 24, 2007

Submitted by Just_Ben (112) at 5:50AM PST on September 24, 2007

"After seeing LittleBigPlanet at TGS, I believe it could be a console mover," commented Pachter. "The game is really innovative, and I think it adds a family element that is so far missing from both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. If they can accompany that games launch with a price cut (or a lower priced SKU), I think we will see a spike in sales," he added. "If Sony doesn't cut price at all during its fiscal year, they will probably miss their 11 million shipment target," he said. "However, a price cut early in 2008 should spark sales, and their line-up of LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4 should help move consoles." "If they don't cut price, they'll probably sell through around 7 million for the fiscal year, and will probably ship no more than 8 - 9 million," he added.

Totalplaystation Preview "So long as you place things...

Totalplaystation.com - March 7, 2007

Submitted by Gaara42 (8) at 9:53PM PST on May 6, 2007

Totalplaystation Preview "So long as you place things in the world where gravity and physics best act on them, the gameplay essentially makes itself, and that was precisely the idea. A massive suite of tools for sharing all of your creations with the rest of the world, meaning everything you create can be played, rated, commented on, and from within the game, messages can be sent, popularity can be determined, buddies can be added and plenty more."

Gamsutra says "I have seen the future of user-generated content on consoles, and it is the Beta version of Media Molecule's much-awaited LittleBigPlanet -- which the nice folks at Sony were kind enough to give us advance access to, ahead of its imminent PlayStation 3 debut."

SCE has revealed that the producer of LittleBigPlanet wrongly told journalists that Little Big Planet will be region locked. SCE just posted up "This is in fact not the case, and all shared levels in the game will be available worldwide."

Brief Description Of The Creation Tools

Gamespot - January 1, 2008

Submitted by Refreshment (333) at 3:21AM PST on May 14, 2008

"We got into small groups, each with a member of Media Molecule to guide us, and were unleashed with everything the creation tools had to offer. The full game will ship with video tutorials to help you learn the system. LittleBigPlanet's Create mode is as easy to use as the developers originally promised, and while making some of the physics-based elements work can be tricky, there is a huge amount of scope when it comes to what can be created."

Game Tap - December 26, 2007

Submitted by ballking20 (2084) at 8:55PM PST on December 26, 2007

PlayStation 3's software library got significantly better this holiday, but there's no killer app. I honestly don't know if LittleBigPlanet would have been one. But I think it's going to be mine. It's going to be the thing that glues me to PlayStation 3... when it ships. I was all ready to start building worlds and sharing them with my friends, but it won't happen until next year, if you believe the rumors. And I do hope LittleBigPlanet sets the planet on fire when it releases."
