Over at game blog Rumor Reporter, they're floating more details on the rumbled PSP slim. According to the site, the updated PSP won't have big speed increases and will be outfitted with a slot UMD loader.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has delayed the launch of the Skype service for PSP users just 24 hours before it was due to launch. The company had prepared two first-party microphone packages for launch day, but neither of these has met specifications defined by Skype. As a result, Sony said it decided to postpone the launch of the service until a solution can be found.

We checked out a working demo version of Skype on the PSP at Sony's booth and are pleased to report that audio quality was pretty decent. The only caveat is a bit of lag time in the audio transmission, less than a second but enough to be noticeable.

Sony has detailed a range of rich features for the PlayStation Portable, all due to launch in Europe early next year. Fleshing out previously announced deals with BT, Sky and sat-nav specialists TeleAtlas and NavNGo, the new functions all appear under the Go! branding.
