Recently, Bungie Studios community director Brian Jarrard - better known to Halo fans as "Sketch" - took some time to clear up a few lingering questions about Halo 3: Recon and Halo 3's upcoming Mythic Map Pack as well as some general Bungie topics.

It's been on store shelves for less than two days and Halo 3: ODST has logged nearly a million players in the last 24 hours. More specifically, according to Bungie.net, the game had logged 936,278 players when this post was written. All of those troopers have managed to put away 5,653,310 games. That's roughly six games per person in a 24-hour period. On a weekday. We don't want to jump the gun here, but Bungie just might have a success on its hands.

Bungie has confirmed that ODST will run at the same 1152x640 resolution as Halo 3, the game it's based on. Speaking to 360 Gamer Magazine at a press event for the game on Monday, Bungie senior designer Lars Bakken said that while ODST does look prettier than Halo 3 did, the game engine itself has hardly changed since Halo 3.

Microsoft will be releasing a Halo 3: ODST Xbox 360 bundle, which comes with a Elite console, a standard copy of Halo 3 and Halo 3:ODST, and access to the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta. Not to get your hopes up, but so far, this is only being released in PAL territories. A retailer listing (spotted by Joystiq) says the bundle is coming October 5.
