Looks as though Sony's "electrifying announcement" may have been leaked a bit early. A Best Buy pre-order box features this promo for an Uncharted 2 "Multiplayer Beta Voucher," as revealed by Kotaku. From what we can garner from the box, purchasing inFamous will give players an early preview of Uncharted 2's online mode. This would be a rather smart move on Sony's part, leveraging one of its biggest franchises to promote a new IP.

Hang on, Nathan Drake! Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is almost here, with Sony confirming to us today that the Naughty Dog developed PlayStation 3 game will arrive in the U.S. on October 13th. Start planning your sick days/pre-orders accordingly. Sony also released Uncharted 2's final box art, reminding us of Mr. Drake's expert ability to hang from ledges and platforms with just one hand.

While Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is already one of the best looking video games ever, developer Naughty Dog hasn’t stop improving the graphics for Playstation 3 exclusive just yet. Since their E3 2009 showing, Naughty Dog improved on the lighting and skin textures for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Nathan Drake returns with a whole new adventure which revolves around the 13th century explorer Marco Polo and his voyages. The new PlayStation 3 title will add a free climbing mechanic and stealth gameplay. Players can also expect all-new locations, characters and a focus on the game�s story.

This is either funny or reflective of the sad state of the review industry but UC:2 just scored a 21/20 from French PS3 focused magazine PS3M.

Co-President of Naughty Dog, Christophe Balestra, revealed that 130 543 players enjoyed the beta in June. Of this number 63% were from the US while 6.55% came from England, just over 4% from France and 1.06% from Germany. Only 1 gamer from Mongolia enjoyed the action while India had 79 players and Argentina 88.

At Comic-con, Naughty Dog have revealed one of the online modes for Uncharted 2. It's called "Gold Rush". The basis of the mode is that a team of players need to find the treasure which is somewhere on the map, and return it to the treasure chest. While they are doing this there is a number of enemies all trying to stop them. The video below can show you exactly how it plays out.

Fans loved the “I’m gonna kick you to sleep” line from the original Uncharted. Now, Nolan North, the voice of Nathan Drake, has revealed his favorite ad libbed line from the upcoming Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Apparently he learned the line while playing Wii tennis with his 8 year old son. “He just whoops me, right. Then he looks over and says ‘Yeah. Kitty got wet.’” After having his son repeat and explain the line, which he just said because he knew cats didn’t like water.
