PS3 and 360 worldwide sales Equal in 2008

Gamezine - January 29, 2009

Submitted by OuterHaven (570) at 9:00AM PST on January 29, 2009

Gamezine: 'Following Sony's announcement of Q3 hardware sales, we thought we'd compare the lot. It looks like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 basically sold the same amount in 2008. Sony's PlayStation 3 sold less in the third quarter of 2008 (ie. the Oct-Dec holiday season) than in 2007, but the strength of the console's earlier sales did it proud, shipping* 10.8 million in 2008 (up from 2007's 8.85 million).
