Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed today what we first broke earlier this week, Best Buy and six other national retailers will be stocking Wii this weekend. And by stocking I mean they will be advertising the console in their weekly circulars (except Wal-Mart) and then throwing the consoles up on the shelves come the weekend and then running away.

So there is no misunderstanding, the article also states that it will be the last shipment until jan for some retailers. This is the "Final push". Rumor is that there will be over 600k, and they doing that to get a record and give everybody the same chance off getting a Wii. Looks like Nintendo and retailers stockpiled last and this weeks shipment for this weekend (VGC indicates that with a 26 % down on Wii hardware). After that, it sounds like it will be near impossible to get a Wii at the retail channel.
So let people know that search a Wii to get up early on Sunday. It might be their only chance.
