In an earnings conference call after the release was distributed, Activision Publishing CEO Mark Griffiths laid out the slate of new games that gamers can expect in the company's fiscal year 2009 (starting April 1, 2008). He said, "There will be a full slate driven by our strongest brands."

Interestingly, EA has been MUCH better on Wii game development compared with Activison (for the most part). When EA has put games out on the Wii, they've had the best controls aside from first-party games, though they've had limited success. If Wii explode in 2008, and EA does not have as good as Wii game support as Activision, I fear for ERTS stock value. They lose to Nintendo in 2007, will they lose to ATVI in 2008 ? I would bet that the "hardware innovation" mentioned for Guitar Hero either refers to a rumoured DS peripheral or a pedal for GH4.
They also state 2009 would be their "largest Nintendo slate ever". Looks like we can expect DS/Wii versions of everything (hopefully decent versions, not shoddy ports).[ Oracle ] [ Level 21 ] [ Rank: 182 ]bids

EA has done a good job with some of its franchises on the Wii and Activision has done a good job with some of its franchises. Both need to improve its offerings on the Wii significantly to stay competitive (this goes for Ubisoft also).
